SERVICES AND RATES
Straits Scuba Center provides charter boat services, an air fill station and
dive shop at its location in St. Ignace, Michigan.
CHARTER
BOAT SERVICES
Individual reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance. During
the summer, the entire boat may be chartered to a dive shop, dive club or private group.
In addition, some popular weekends fill rapidly. By reserving early you will
be guaranteed a space.
The rates and charges for charter
boat diving for the season are as follows:

TERMS and
CONDITIONS:
A deposit equal
to one-half of the charge is required to guarantee a reservation. Deposits can
be made by check or credit card. Reservations
can be cancelled without penalty until seven days before scheduled departure.
No refunds will be made of deposits when cancelled within seven days of departure.
Balance due at time of service. Walk-ons may be accommodated if capacity exists,
but no such accommodation is guaranteed.
CANCELLATION
OF DIVES:
In the event of inclement weather, act of God, or other force majeure which
renders travel or diving dangerous, the boat Captain shall have the authority
in his sole discretion to cancel any dive trip or to terminate diving and return
to dock if the boat has left the dock. Further, in the event fewer than four
divers are present for any day of diving, Straits Scuba Center, in its sole
discretion, shall have the right to cancel diving for that day and refund, in
full, any prepaid deposit.
SELECTION OF DIVE
SITES :
Every effort will be made
to accommodate requests to dive particular dive sites. However, matters of scheduling,
diving conditions, and relative skill level of the divers on board may not make
it possible to comply with all such requests. For that reason, the boat Captain
shall determine the final selection of all dive sites in his sole discretion.
AIR FILLS:
Air fills are generally provided on Friday nights, Saturday afternoons and evenings,
Sunday afternoons and such other hours as personnel are present. If you require
an air fill at a particular time, please email us to make arrangements.
The rates and charges are:
- Single Tank: $8.00
- Double Tank: $16.00
- Pony Bottle: $5.00
TANK AND EQUIPMENT
RENTAL:
A limited number of steel high pressure and aluminum tanks and diving gear including
wetsuits are available for rental. If you are interested in renting a tank or
